How Do You Care For A Mesh Integration System?
Although you can treat your mesh integration just as you would do so your natural hair, we recommend being a little gentler when washing and brushing, for example. Once fitted, you will be given full instructions on how to care for your system and will also be provided with an aftercare pack with expert advice. We will book you in for maintenance around every six weeks or so to reposition and retighten the mesh, keeping it secure.
How Much Does Mesh Integration Cost?
During your initial consultation, the price of your mesh integration will always be discussed as it may differ based on the size, length and thickness of your chosen style. However, to give you an idea ahead of your consultation, our prices start from £595.
What Mesh Is Used For The Integration System?
As the goal is to make the system as comfortable as possible, we use a breathable, hypoallergenic mesh which has been specifically designed for integration solutions. The mesh features small holes, which stops the system from feeling hot, sweaty and itchy, helping it to feel just as if it was your natural hair. It is also far stronger than a typical mesh material, allowing the extension strands to fit securely without movement.
What Happens To My Natural Hair Underneath The Mesh Integration?
If you are not currently experiencing hair growth and your follicles are dormant, then it is important to keep in mind that the system will not encourage them to grow, but instead, keep your scalp as healthy as possible. For those whose hair is continuing to grow, it will carry on as normal underneath the mesh. During your maintenance appointments, you may notice some shedding, but this is completely normal and is just the dead hair that was trapped inside the system coming out.
How do I wash it?
All aftercare will be discussed on the day of the fitting. You will also receive an aftercare sheet along with the relevant aftercare products. We recommend washing your hair system every 10 days.
Can I wear it up?
This all depends on whether you have a head mesh or a full head. For half-head, you can put your hair up, and with a full-head mesh system, we advise a low ponytail only.
Can I have whatever colour I want?
This all depends on whether you have a half system or a full system. We do not recommend a drastic colour change.
Will it damage my natural hair?
If you follow the aftercare and have regular maintenance, it won't damage your hair.
How old do I need to be?
We only do mesh systems for 18-year-olds and above.
Is there any glue used?
We usually sew everything; however, if you have frontal fibrosing alopecia, we do use tape to hold the system in place.
Is it comfortable?
The mesh integration system does take some getting used to. It can take a few days as it is sewn quite tight, just like any other hair extension method.
Can I choose what parting I want?
Yes, you can; however, bear in mind you will not be able to change this once it is set until you have a removal and refit.
What is a pinch forward?
This is where your natural hair grows underneath, and with this, the mesh integration system starts to move. When this happens, we cut along the closure, tighten the rings at the hairline and re-sew on so your system is securely in place. This is done every 3-4 weeks, and the appointment generally takes 15-30 minutes.
How long will my lace closure last?
The lifespan of a lace closure is 6-9 months with the correct aftercare.
